Teddy's Energy GoFundMe

If you are interested in supporting us, please donate to the Teddy's Energy project on our GoFundMe page!

Your donations (anything you can spare) facilitate our outreach to the six village and district of Kilosa in Tanzania. They will first and foremost be used to cover the salaries and to pay for the transportation, accommodation and food of two Tanzanian researchers, Vincent Vyamana and Moshy Mpembela (see people involved). In addition, they will be used to print reports and provide workshop materials, as well as meals to the villagers and district members who attend the workshops. Only after all other expenses are covered, your donation will be used to cover part of the personal travel and accommodation expenses of Hanneke van 't Veen (see people involved). Any remaining donations will used to increase the number of days Vincent and Moshy are hired to further enhance the quality of the workshops. In case we are so lucky that we receive many more donations than anticipated, the remaining donations will be used to provide Moshy with initial funding to pursue a Master’s in remote sensing. She would like to use remote sensing approaches throughout her further career to help protect nature in Tanzania.

Accountability

We wish to operate as transparently as possible. Therefore, we have created an overview of expenses for the Teddy's Energy project. In the expenses document below, you can find the estimated costs, the real costs and the donations and net income from the shop received. The document will be updated monthly over the extend of the Teddy's Energy project. In total, a threshold of 7000 euro is set in the GoFundMe campaign. Any remaining donations will used to increase the number of days Vincent and Moshy are hired to further enhance the quality of the workshops. In case we are so lucky that we receive many more donations than anticipate, the remaining donations will be used to provide Moshy with initial funding to pursue a Master’s in remote sensing. She would like to use remote sensing approaches throughout her further career to help protect nature in Tanzania. She has tried for years to obtain funding for her Master’s but unfortunately she has not yet achieved her goal.
